JIGNYASA is the Sanskrit word for Curiosity. Jignyasa began in 2011 with the objective of enhancing students' curiosity and creativity through science projects and model making.

_*పదో తరగతి విద్యార్థులకు బంపర్ ఆఫర్.. ఈజీ మ్యాథ్స్ ఎంచుకోవచ్చు!*_
_*న్యూఢిల్లీ: సీబీఎస్ఈ పదో తరగతి విద్యార్థులకు ఓ ఆఫర్ ఇచ్చింది. 2020లో బోర్డ్ ఎగ్జామ్స్ రాయబోయే పదో తరగతి విద్యార్థులకు రెండు స్థాయిల మ్యాథ్స్‌ను పరిచయం చేస్తున్నది. ఈ రెండు స్థాయిల్లో విద్యార్థులు ఏది కావాలంటే అది ఎంపిక చేసుకోవచ్చు. అంతమాత్రాన పదో తరగతి మ్యాథమెటిక్స్ కరికులమ్‌లో ఎలాంటి మార్పు ఉండబోదని, అవే టాపిక్స్, చాప్టర్స్ ఉంటాయని బోర్డు స్పష్టం చేసింది. తొలిసారి బోర్డు ఎగ్జామ్స్ ఎదుర్కోబోయే విద్యార్థులుగా వాళ్లపై ఉన్న ఒత్తిడిని తగ్గించడానికే ఇలా రెండు స్థాయిల మ్యాథ్స్‌ను పరిచయం చేసినట్లు చెప్పింది. సబ్జెక్టుల ఎంపికలో ఇప్పటికే స్టూడెంట్స్‌కు ఆప్షన్ ఇచ్చినట్లు ఒకే సబ్జెక్టులోనూ ఇవ్వాలని భావించినట్లు బోర్డు తెలిపింది. దీని ప్రకారం తొలి స్థాయి ఇప్పుడున్న మ్యాథ్సే ఉంటుంది. రెండో స్థాయి మ్యాథ్స్ సులువుగా ఉంటుంది. ఇప్పుడున్న సబ్జెక్ట్‌ను మ్యాథమెటిక్స్ స్టాండర్డ్‌గా, సులువుగా ఉన్నదాన్ని మ్యాథమెటిక్స్ బేసిక్‌గా పిలవనున్నారు. సిలబస్, క్లాస్ రూమ్ టీచింగ్, ఇంటర్నల్ అసెస్‌మెంట్ రెండు స్థాయిలకు సమానంగానే ఉంటుంది. సబ్జెక్ట్‌ను మొత్తంగా తెలుసుకునే అవకాశం విద్యార్థులకు ఉంటుంది. చివరగా తన సామర్థ్యాన్ని బట్టి ఎగ్జామినేషన్ ఏ స్థాయిలో రాయాలో తేల్చుకోవచ్చు అని సీబీఎస్ఈ అధికారి ఒకరు వెల్లడించారు. పదో తరగతి తర్వాత కూడా మ్యాథ్స్‌నే ప్రధాన సబ్జెక్ట్‌గా ఎంపిక చేసుకునే వాళ్లకు స్టాండర్డ్ ఉపయోగపడనుండగా.. పదో తరగతి తర్వాత మ్యాథ్స్ వద్దనుకునే వాళ్లు బేసిక్ లెవల్‌కు వెళ్లొచ్చు. రెండు లెవల్స్‌లో దేనిని ఎంపిక చేసుకోవాలో సంబంధిత స్కూల్ లిస్ట్ ఆఫ్ క్యాండిడేట్స్‌ను సబ్‌మిట్ చేసే సమయంలో విద్యార్థి చెపాల్సి ఉంటుంది అని బోర్డు చెప్పింది. ఒకవేళ ఎవరైనా మ్యాథ్స్‌లో ఫెయిలైతే కనుక.. బేసిక్ ఎంచుకున్న విద్యార్థి అందులోనే కంపార్ట్‌మెంటల్ ఎగ్జామ్ రాయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. స్టాండర్డ్ ఎంచుకున్న విద్యార్థి స్టాండర్డ్ లేదా బేసిక్‌లో ఎగ్జామ్ రాయొచ్చు. ఒకవేళ బేసిక్‌లో పాసైన విద్యార్థి స్టాండర్డ్ ఎగ్జామ్ రాయాలని అనుకుంటే.. కంపార్ట్‌మెంట్ టైమ్‌లో రాసుకునే వీలు కూడా ఉంటుంది.*_
